New England Chapter meeting, sponsored by the Neurocare Center for Sleep, on October 29, 2007 from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. "Dont Ignore the Fact You Snore" presented by Dr. Gregory Smull, M.D., Pulmonologist, Sleep Specialist, Center for Sleep at Parkland Medical Center will address sleep apnea and respiratory complications of sleep disordered breathing. "How Do I Get My Teenager to Go to Bed and Not Sleep All Day?" presented by Adam C. Sonovick, B.S., RPSGT, lead sleep technologist at the Center for Sleep at Parkland Medical Center, will address changes that occur in adolescent sleep patterns with suggestions to mitigate the effects of these changes. More than 70 percent of American adults say they experience frequent sleep problems, according to a recent National Sleep Foundation poll. Sleep problems could be due to poor sleep habits or may be caused by undiagnosed sleep disorders such as sleep apnea, restless legs syndrome, insomnia or narcolepsy.
